Tiananmen Square. Those were students. Now the Unemployed?

Can the world ever forget the Tiananmen Square massacres on the 4th of June 1989.Of course the world stood and watched at one of the worst anti human rights acts of the 20th century.

Well the world was investing in China….and what if a few thousands and some millions had to endure harassment, some deaths and all round misery, fine. Its politics and diplomacy. What say?

They were idealistic students who were protesting then carried away in their youthfulness and zeal for a better tomorrow, knowing not that their leaders care not for any individual or their rights.

Are we looking at a repeat in this century that too in the first decade except that this time it is the discontented work force having lost jobs and job security. The unorganized labor force counting to millions that worked in the progressive sweat shops with no rights.

What will they do and what if they protest more blood at the square and other places of course the world is watching.

As it always does like with Tibet.Three cheers.what say?

Can any body ever forget the human rights violation in Kashmir, Punjab, North East and in naxalite affected areas of India?

Well Alexandre,

Which country does not have problems. At least we are a democracy and are a successful one at that.

Do you mean it is perfectly fine to call in the tanks and run them over innocent, non armed, peacefully demonstrating students??

Your rulers lost their nerve and did not know that even talks and more rights will not take away the power from their hands..

Thanks for your comment

Don’t you know what is happening with Irom Sharmila of Manipur state of India? Why is there a special armed forces act? Is it bad to protect the national sovereignty?

Bro,
National Sovereignty is a bit different. Our government has done a lot of bad stuff in the north east and other places especially Kashmir...all in the name of National integration..

However we are a Democracy and get it right most of the times...plus things are very different and improving...

But how can you justify trampling innocent students....peaceful and unarmed who were asking for talks....with Tanks...and that too without a care...just so that the rulers could have agood nights sleep???

Thanks for your comment...and is that what will happen to all the unemployed if they expect something better from their rulers??

Thanks for the links Nirav. This was no doubt, brutal to fight against the unarmed students with the heavy tanks. China is one of the worst countries.

This was an unfortunate incident in the history of China and army killing people of its own country with tanks is the most brutal act.
