Taliban in Kashmir – A new unsettling phenomena!

The threat being seen as something that could happen in the near future with the of Kashmir, happening in Afghanistan that India would be the next victim on the Taliban radar has come very dangerously true.

As per security intercepts, the Indian army has received information that 35 -40 terrorists have entered Kashmir with the majority of them being Taliban. This represents a huge danger and shift in the terrorists’ agenda. It definitely looks that the Pakistan government and its security agencies including the Army and the ISI have lost huge ground and are unable to control the babies that the nourished, fed and bred.

Earlier you had Punjabi militants from the plains sponsored by the ISI who were involved with local support – the support has gradually being withering away due to the democratic character of India.

Now after the surrender in the Swat valley and their loss in the border regions of the Afghanistan and Pakistan, it seems that the Taliban along with the other terrorist entities have unleashed a full scale war on Pakistan and India...the Taliban are an Extreme form of Islam and will be a danger to the citizens of Kashmir as they will be dealing at gun point, irrespective of whether they support or oppose.

These militants are Extremists of the worse order. Hardened and Battle scarred veterans from the War in Afghanistan with brain power of the medieval ages only interested in slaughtering anyone standing in their way and wanting to impose a form of Islam that even the Hard core Muslim is fearful of.

It now looks that the Home grown terrorists in Pakistan will destabilize Pakistan and fight the NATO troops, destroy their supply lines and so on…and the Taliban will be the front end in the War on India – a very dangerous situation as the Army will bear the brunt of not only die hard fundamentalists who don’t care for life, but also the public backlash against excesses.

There is no point in crying out hoarse and blaming Pakistan, it’s now beyond that and Pakistan can do nothing. In fact right now, it seems that they are not even in a position to protect Pakistan, forget about the War in Afghanistan.

India needs to be strong and wipe out this breed immediately. The Government in Jammu & Kashmir has to take its citizens into total confidence, open channels with the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other Local critics, even reach out to the hardliners to move politically as well to save Kashmir.

This is not the time to play vote bank politics, rather get together for the common good. We are a Proud Nation respecting the rights and freedom of everyone, but logic and kindness will not do the trick as we are now up against a foe with no morals conscience and no plan other than extremism, intolerance and power of the gun.

India will even have to be more proactive in Afghanistan along with Iran to add to the NATO firepower and create alternative supply lines in order to exterminate this violence in its den. Where and when will this end?

The misinformation campaign, mastered by the West has creeped into India too. Last night, I happened to watch NDTV (Hindi). I heared the alleged intercepts. Neither the voice was of an Afghani, nor Pakistani (Punjabi) nor Kashmiris.
A orchasterede campaign to unlease fear psychosis seems to be in offing. I do not know who is behind this new initiative. The game is old, often played by intelligence agencies safely.

Intelligience agencies often perceive threats or fears. If some thing happens, credit is claimed by them as they had given information in advance. If nothing happen, the credit is again of the intelligence agencies as they claim that on account of their forewarning, security forces took elaborate arrangements.

Oh yea, There are no terrorists, no suicide bombers, no one is being beheaded or stoned to death, it is all just in our imaginations. Luckily we have Anil who can see right through the illusion to see Americans at every corner and point them out.

Get your head out of the sand Anil, people are dying, it is not time for you to be making jokes.

In fact Pakistan has lost control over Taliban.

They have captured the Swat valley and now they are planning to enter into Indian territories. It’s a real challenge for Indian intelligence and military to check the Talibani activities in India.

The Taliban force is the worst form of fundamentalism and needs to be wiped out of Kashmir before it takes root. This has to be done on a war footing. No way should they be allowed to establish even a toehold, let alone a foothold. They do not represent anything but evil of the highest order, the devil incarnate. Definitely they do not represent ISLAM.No true Muslim would bomb Masjids, kill a fellow Muslim. TALIBAN IS A CANCER THAT NEEDS TO BE WIPED OUT to the last Taliban

C'mon guys i think it should be a fair deal.

A polling should be held in Kashmir where people should tell if they want to be with India or Pakistan. Let them decide the fate of their future children, good or bad...

If they wanna opt for the lesser opportunities for their children and hell for the girls, let them.

At least our soldiers will have something better to do rather than protecting people who don't want to be with us. and some of the civilians even help Pakistani terrorists. I don't like this.

You are right Brajesh.
A plebiscite should be held in Kashmir to know the people’s view.

We all knew it already the day Talibanis occupied Swat in Pakistan that the next aim would be India. Indian govt should have taken precautionary measures.
