While no one refutes that the LTTE is one of the most dangerous terrorist outfits presently active...and from the last 2 decades plus …they have entered into agreements and ceasefires when it suited them...and broken the same...when it suited them…

It is also a fact that from suicide bombings…to air bombings...to targeting those that they felt were a hindrance to them...The most high profile being Rajiv Gandhi among others...they have mastered the art of Terror..

The Sri Lankan army has achieved something stupendous by their Military victories...And the World looks forward to cessation of hostilities…

But the Sri Lankan government is in no mood to cease fighting... and with over 3,50,000 plus people still displaced in the LTTE held areas...are we looking at a genocide and mass refugee problem like never before in this part of the world...the biggest number of deaths after the partition…

The latest reports warn of an impending Medical calamity too given the lack of food...shelter...sanitation...and even water…

Everyone knows India’s role in arming the LTTE and other Tamil militant groups in the years gone by...But can we just look on at the horrible humanitarian problem...should the government not act at least now...

As we have drummed up support worldwide after the Bombay terrorist attack...can we not do the same for our Tamil brethren...Damn the LTTE who are using them as Shields...and Cannon Fodder...
