India is being attacked from all sides and internally…something very sinister seems to be going on…

It is a fact that right from the birth of our nation, we have seen many attempts to pull us down…..culturally, morally, physically…..denied our rights to self defense…..been black listed…..having to fight wars internally and externally…..denied our seat in the UN security council….

In fact it was Winston Churchill who once commented that if India were to be given independence….we would disintegrate and go back to the medieval times…a view shared by many who even after independence never felt that we will remain as a single Nation…In fact the marvel is that in spite of all the cultures, religions, languages, states etc….we are the Worlds Largest Democracy with a enviable track record…something that even our enemies recognize….

It is now acknowledged that we are on our way to becoming a super power within the coming two decades and are overcoming most of the challenges that faced us….

True…there is lots still left to be done to make available the basics for a vast majority of our population in terms of needs and rights…however ….we are slowly but surely addressing the problem….in spite of the wayward politicians and the corrupt system prevalent….and the coming generations seem more ethical and efficient….

In spite of the religious fundamentalists……on the whole India is immune and is still a country that has a majority of its citizens as secular…in thoughts and deeds…

In spite of all the differences….when it comes to the country….we stand as one…

But are we aware…..just imagine the whole picture….that threatens our basic existence…the survival of our nation….

Historically….we have had conflicts and unsolved questions with Pakistan and China….differences even with Bangladesh and Nepal…..How secure are our Borders?

We now have a huge Taliban with unlimited resources of drugs and arms with tactical support from sections of the Pakistan state right at our borders…we have the foreign terrorists trained and armed in Kashmir…now they will have a tremendous boost with the virtual fundamentalist state spanning a huge region of Pakistan and Afghanistan…

We have the Maoists in Nepal who are closing up to China….and this is a very clear problematic area due to the open borders and the cultural ties that we share…the pumping in of arms….drugs…..and counterfeit currency to destabilize us through this border is very well known….it can only increase…

We have the whole North East insurgency problem that is supported by elements in Bangladesh…and now you can see the Mutiny by the BDR to understand the gravity of the situation….we already have the migration problem from Bangladesh that is changing the demography in lot of states in addition to the law and order problems…

We are looking at a huge Tamilian problem which will be caused by the humanitarian situation arising from the conflict in Sri Lanka…many of the refugees will be LTTE elements in the form of civilians that will strain our state as they will regroup and rearm with interaction of the underworld arms dealers and the drug mafia…..so many trained killers will be on the loose….with an anti India bias and public sympathy and support….

We already have a deadly underworld having a huge reach among our leaders and policy makers that is working in close coordination with the ISI and other anti India elements…

We now have a huge Naxal problem that covers almost 40% of the country…and is rising by the day….

Add to this the recession and depression…..we are looking at something very bad that can emerge….with break down on the law and order scene….

We already have the Religious fundamentalists and fringe as well as criminal elements waiting to take advantage in any weakness in any form and spread venom….destabilize the Nation….

There are Nations who are trying to orchestra all the coming together of all Anti India elements to ensure that we can never rise to our status….rather will be hamstrung and left hurt and injured…by multiple wounds….internal and external…

Are we the people even aware and thinking about this….is it not time that we forget our narrow thoughts and as Indians rise above petty things so that the Enemy within does not win….so that the Enemy Outside can never imagine a victory….Lets beat them back…

The Government and the State apparatus need to wake up….and we the common citizens need to be there for the Nation…Lets do it.
